In a surprise announcement at a recent Board of Directors meeting, Help Save the Bees Foundation president Joseph Schmitt decreed a transition for their long time subscriber and content manager, "MailChimp", to a more modern, flexible, user-friendly platform, "Beehiiv". Cautious of the value of the intellectual property contained in the subscriber data held by MailChimp, Secretary Hopper wants to ensure all the data is transferrable.

In an experimental transfer of data from MailChimp to Beehiiv, Secretary Hopper conducted the following test:

Exported all subscriber data from MailChimp to a CSV file.
Noticed all tags for each subscriber were listed in the Tags field, in quotes, comma separated.
Created mapping for each of the subscriber attributes into Beehiiv, creating new fields of the correct data type where necessary.
Imported the csv file from MailChimp into Beehiiv.
From all appearances, the transfer was successful; even the tabs that were defined for each subscriber in MailChimp transferred as tabs individually defined in Beehiiv.
